Having a growth mindset means that you can train your brain to get smarter. A few researchers at the UC Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources were faced with a problem. They were asking middle school students to read a few short articles about the concept of the “growth mindset” and then answer reading comprehension questions. Unfortunately, the main points of the articles were not translating to the students. They asked if I could deliver the same information but in a format that was more engaging and would improve student comprehension. I wrote and produced this short animation video in response. At last check in, they were still gathering data about the results.
